Benjamin Verdonck in the Museum Church
Benjamin Verdonck explores the Limburg Meuse valley on foot. Along the way, he collects objects that tell him something about the area, from stones and seeds to plastic packaging and lost jewellery.
He treats these everyday objects as a kind of relics, which he presents in a unique way in various chapels in the Maas valley. In this way, they develop into special reflections on the relationship between man and nature.
From source to mouth
In the same church, a film by Luc Smeets will be shown. From source to mouth’ follows the Maas from its source in France to its mouth in the North Sea. At first, this river is barely visible, but gradually it unfolds into the imposing river that flows through the Maas valley like a lifeline.
